Erichsen´s Private Hospital is a private hospital, owned and managed by doctors working at the hospital.
The concept of the hospital is to offer treatment for a number of diseases in a fast, effective and safe way.
Patients can either be referred by their own doctor, or contact us directly to arrange an appointment. In emergency situations an appointment can be arranged immediately, and treatment can, if necessary, begin at once.
If the patient is in need of an operation, all necessary preoperative tests are done on the initial day of examination. At this time, the patient will also be informed of the maximum price of hospitalization and surgical fees. The price includes a possible prolonged stay at the hospital, should there be complications.
Patients residing abroad can save time and money by sending us in advance any X-rays, CT-scans or laboratory tests relevant to their medical history. Consultation for cosmetic problems can be expedited by first sending a description and photos to the clinic.
We will also assist in finding hotel accomondations, if necessary, for before and after treatment.
Throughout treatment at the Hospital, the patient will be under care of the same doctor, thus ensuring optimal continuity of treatment.
Plastic surgery
The ever increasing demand for cosmetic surgery has augmented the need for the patients clear understanding of all the consequences of surgery. Therefore, it is essential that the decision to operate be taken after thorough and indepth consultation between surgeon and patient.
Since 1981 Erichsen´s Privat Hospital has been treating an increasing number of patients requesting cosmetic surgery. Typical operations are: facelifts, eyelid operations, cosmetic nose corrections, breast augmentations or reductions, fat suctions and abdominal plasty.
Orthopaedic surgery
Erichsen´s Private Hospital is very experienced in joint replacement surgery of hip, knee and other joints. Two to five days after surgery, most patients can walk without pain.
In cases of meniscus lesions we use arthroscopic surgery to minimize hospitalization and to shorten the period of rehabilitation.
We can also offer knee ligament reconstruction to patients suffering from chronic instability of the knee joint, which is often disabling and can destroy an active sports life.
Gastroenterology and childrens surgery
These operations are gastric operations, heamorrhoidectomy, intestinal polyps and hernia operations. As a hernia can be congenital or acquired, it is seen in all ages. Thes operations are performed by laparoscopy under general anaesthesia either on an outpatient basis, or combined with a short hospitalization. If a young child needs an operation, one of the parents is welcome to stay at the hospital with the child.
Urology
Patients suffering from urinary voiding problems such as enlarged prostates, malignant diseases in the bladder, prostate or testis, urinary infection, stone disease and incontinence can be investigated and treated at the hospital. We can offer the patient up-to-date urodynamic, cystoscopic and ultrasonic evaluation and early treatment to restore the patients’ quality of life. Careful evaluation is also offered patients with impotence or sterility and surgical treatment can be performed if found needed. Urological disorders in children (cryptorchidism, phimosis etc) are also dealt with at the hospital.
Ear-nose-throat
The ear-nose-throat surgeon offers operations like: tonsillectomi, correction of deviation of the nasal septum, operations for snoring, operations on salivary glands. Also modern and functional scopic operations of diseases in the nose and sinuses are performed along with microsurgical operations for deafness.
We can offer individual and personale care
At Erichsen´s Private Hospital we have a total of eightteen beds, offering a choice of single or double rooms to our patients. All rooms are equipped with a color television, a radio and a private telephone.
The hospital has three operating rooms, as well as X-ray and laboratory facilities.
Our highly qualified nursing staff is experienced in providing the outmost care for our patients.
Erichsen's Private Hospital is authorized by all Danish health insurance companies
Erichsen's Private Hospital is used by the embassies of many foreign countries. All members of our staff speak English as well as other foreign languages.
The hospital has a number of consultants available for special cases.
